In Loving Memory of our Founder Meg Doolittle. 

What started as a casual promenade on El Paseo in 2004 with Meg and her Standard poodle “Cookie” and a few of her standard poodle friends has become a social club and a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit “The Standard Poodle Club and Rescue of the Desert and Greater Palm Springs”. Meg was one of our strongest supporters to evolve our club into a Nonprofit and help support our community. We support all of Southern California for our Rescue efforts and our social Promenades on El Paseo in Palm Desert have grown to more than 50 standard poodles and even more wonderful owners that participate throughout the season. Anyone who met Meg was instantly drawn to her joyful and loving personality. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will continue in our Standard Poodle Club and Rescue of the Desert and Greater Palm Springs.

Meg was a very accomplished artist and created the logo used today for our organization as well as many other creative contributions.
